"Throughout the 1990's manufactured music was at an all time high, with major record labels and factories mass producing groups and using their looks and personalities to laden their own pockets with gold.

The main mass producer of such groups was Zarcorp Inc. Industries... A multi-billion pound industry that created groups and artists on a production line. From a smoke laden factory with cooling towers as far as the eye could see groups and bands were constantly manufactured and published into the industry. However... one cold dark night a terrible event occured within the Zarcorp HQ.

A rare Icelandic bear broke into the factory and unleashed mayhem within, destroying countless artists and maiming unfinished groups. Thankfully one brave Zarcorp worker was clever and lucky enough to push the bear (by means of a bright yellow stick) into the cogs of the Zarcorp Inc. Artist Producing machine V2.1 and destroy the threat. However all was not well, once the production line was reassembled and restarted it was apparent the machine had a hideous fault... Out from the machine appeared a new type of
group...calling themselves Late Of The Pier.

Late Of The Pier were to be the ultimate downfall of manufactured music and the end of Zarcorp Inc. Industies. It seemed that the band that were designed to be the greatest manufactured group of all time were infact the complete opposite.. 4 youths, with obscure music tastes, an obscurer outlook on life, a general dislike of conformity, niave yet striking musical talent, a new approach to making music and a serious flaw of low organisation. Late Of The Pier emerged into the world prepared to fuck it up as much as possible...but then decided the sun was too bright and they wernt wearing the correct socks for the day...so they went back inside to write some more 'bangin choons' and finish their smoke."

hello strangers.
it's been a long time.
i'm currently in a van in the middle of america on the way to LA.
in't technology good.

Zarcorp was to be our label.
but after releasing a single 7" by Slagsmalsklubben and getting everything rolling..the ball didn't roll. but i've been slowly working on preparing it for the time when we don't have to tour all the time and we can go back and get creative.
that day finally comes in a few days.
after Coachella tomorrow (our last show in the states) we're headed back to sunny nottingham to hide away and begin work on what we've only just begun.

Zarcorp Inc. Industries is going to be a series of releases by friends of ours. some who we've met on our travels in the past year, some of them we're met every week & some of them we've never met.
Each release will be limited to 500 copies on white heavyweight 7"/10" & 12" vinyl. I wont be giving digital copies to anyone, not any DJ's, not friends, not no-one nope. i want these songs to be something you can feel.
Everything is going to be done from home with a little help from our friend Benjamin (who you may have encounted selling merchendise on our tours).
The records will only be available online from the new Zarcorp site (which is currently being worked on), any nights that we're involved with, the artists themselves and Escalator Records in Tokyo. (a tiny little tea/record shop that's wonderfull).

every record will always be priced at £5 including P&P
and we're hoping to get something new out every month...
begining with a live EP from our friends The Post War Years.
A 3-track, one-sided live 10" release, blank side will be etched with a tigers face and a 12" release from our new friends from New Jersey, Pink Stallone who make beautiful dubbed/blissed out disco.
+lots more including a series of 12"s in collaberation with Nottingham collective Wigflex (http://wigflex.com/)

and while you enjoy them...we're going to begin work on an alladins cave of our own audio and visual forms of expression.

yes.
