hello strangers.
it's been a long time.
i'm currently in a van in the middle of america on the way to LA.
in't technology good.
Zarcorp was to be our label.
but after releasing a single 7" by Slagsmalsklubben and getting everything rolling..the ball didn't roll. but i've been slowly working on preparing it for the time when we don't have to tour all the time and we can go back and get creative.
that day finally comes in a few days.
after Coachella tomorrow (our last show in the states) we're headed back to sunny nottingham to hide away and begin work on what we've only just begun.
Zarcorp Inc. Industries is going to be a series of releases by friends of ours. some who we've met on our travels in the past year, some of them we're met every week & some of them we've never met.
Each release will be limited to 500 copies on white heavyweight 7"/10" & 12" vinyl. I wont be giving digital copies to anyone, not any DJ's, not friends, not no-one nope. i want these songs to be something you can feel.
Everything is going to be done from home with a little help from our friend Benjamin (who you may have encounted selling merchendise on our tours).
The records will only be available online from the new Zarcorp site (which is currently being worked on), any nights that we're involved with, the artists themselves and Escalator Records in Tokyo. (a tiny little tea/record shop that's wonderfull).
every record will always be priced at £5 including P&P
and we're hoping to get something new out every month...
begining with a live EP from our friends The Post War Years.
A 3-track, one-sided live 10" release, blank side will be etched with a tigers face and a 12" release from our new friends from New Jersey, Pink Stallone who make beautiful dubbed/blissed out disco.
+lots more including a series of 12"s in collaberation with Nottingham collective Wigflex (
http://wigflex.com/)
and while you enjoy them...we're going to begin work on an alladins cave of our own audio and visual forms of expression.
yes.
