God, this is like the hardest question in the world! Top 10 as of when? Top 10 all-time favourites? (Because some of them I have listened to so much I don't actually need to listen to them any more.) Top 10 of the moment? Argh. I have trouble coming up with Top 10 genres I like sometimes, let alone artists...

I'm not going to put LOTP on the list because it's fairly obvious I love them or I wouldn't be here.

all-time faves:

1. Spacemen 3 + spin-offs
2. Stereolab
3. Secret Machines/School of Seven Bells
4. Kraftwerk/NEU!/La Dusseldorf/Harmonia/Cluster (they all kind of overlap and bleed into one another for me)
5. Bauhaus + spin-offs
6. The Dandy Warhols
7. The Shangri-Las (lots of other girl group stuff - Crystals, Ronettes, Supremes, etc.)
8. Throwing Muses/Belly
9. The Velvet Underground
10. Hawkwind

Current stuff I haven't loved long enough to call FAVOURITE but I'm really digging right now:

1. MIA
2. Asobi Seksu
3. The Asteroid No. 4
4. The Early Years
5. Youthmovies
6. Marnie Stern (need to get her latest!)
7. Bishi
8. Je Suis Animal
9. Medicine (actually they should go on the all-time list but I don't have space!)
10. Oh, I fucking give up, this is too hard there are too many CDs I love sitting on my coffee table and I'm just going to end up putting down random things and I know I've forgotten all kinds of bands I really love - I mean, I don't even had Can down on this list, and they're one of my favourite bands but I've not got the space and ARGH my last.fm profile said I'd listened to, like, 4000 tracks by Scott Walker and My Bloody Valentine and people I'd no idea I'd listened to as much as I clearly have so I deleted it, but it would be really useful for things like this and I will clearly have changed my mind and like a whole bunch of different things tomorrow...

Excuse me, but which branch of the Boom family are you from?

I don't believe we've been introduced.
