Of course, I think the new album should be mostly brand new material (and Best In The Class) but if the band decided to recycle a demo, which song would you pick and why?

For me, it would either be Circular, or Dose A. They're 2 of my favourite demos, and I'd like to see what magic the band could perform! (Look at the transformation of Focker, for example).

Maybe they could do that as b-sides or... not even that perhaps. I definitely want the new album to be entirely new (Best In The Class and Blueberry still count as new). Blueberry is looking to be one of my favourite ever songs, you know...

same same,but i dont mind either way but i think maybe it'd be better not to have any old songs, and blueberry counts >:{

especially seeing as a new album seems light years away, and they're releasing what i presume to be a double a side of BITC and blueberry? maybe? but anywayz, i think it'd be silly to put it out so early if the album wasnt to follow shortly? that is, if those songs were to be on the new album. i personally think it'd probably be better to just release those to songs stand alone and have a completely new album, no matter how incredible both of those songs are. WHO KNOWS, I PROBABLY WOULDNT EVEN CARE IF THEY PUT THEM ON THE ALBUM HA

I'm expecting new songs on the album, though the demos are great I love them and they would probably sound awesome in new versions

the first album were all basically re-worked versions of demos, bar the enemy are the future.

Doubt that will happen with the second.
Yeah except blueberry and BITC, I can't wait to hear them.

But you never know, we haven't heard a lot of the songs that they have made early on in the bands history, Yogurt pot could be a remake of anything, or brand new.

The demo version of blueberry is yet to be undiscovered, although I think it will see the light when the song is released.

I agree with ROWAN, I think recycled demos should be B-Sides. Remixes are nice, but I would choose B-Sides over remixes any day. But prehaps with this BITC EP coming, there might be extra tracks aswell as the 2 A-Sides.

I reckon there's four new tracks (which i would like) and maybe one old/new b-side but it depends on the remixer, a best in the class remix sounds tasty, tbh I really want SebastiAn to remix an LOTP song. Love his remixes.

Yeah I reckon a blueberry demo will float to the surface once the EP is released!

On the subject of remixes, Simian Mobile Disco and Hadouken! tend to do really good remixes. I'm surprised Hadouken! haven't done a LOTP remix yet as LOTP supported them on tour a while back.

But I reckon they could put out a an album of remixes, like the Whip did (Remix Marks Destination). It would be great to hear some of the non-singles remixed.

What's up guys, first post here! Seems like a pretty sweet forum :D

Anyways, on topic, I'd love to hear some of their more "down and dirty" stuff (Out in the Cold, Wasted, Dose A) redone in higher quality. They're gonna need some songs like that to keep the album from being too light and poppy with songs like Best In the Class on there, which is great don't get me wrong.

Of course a buttload of never before heard songs that blast your face into millions of molecules only to be reassembled on the moon looking down at your confused and faceless body would be nice, too.

That's exactly how I felt when I heard Focker - The song that got me into LOTP =P

Saw it on NME and I was like "WOW. This is what music needed right now."

Yeah, I've seen them all on TV now, pretty much because I never stop watching NME, and that's the only channel they appear on. Although I did see Bathroom Gurgle on MTV TWO once when they did a nu-rave program.

It would be nice to see them develop some of the demos having seen them come so far now.

But it would seem very lazy and you have to wonder why they didn't develop them further anyway?

Yeah, I suppose financial constraints would have stopped them polishing up the demos, once they got signed the label would have contributed towards recording and mastering etc.

I want to hear some of these mysterious unheard songs on the old 20m site. Maybe they were never recorded, just written and played live.

There are still quite a few that we don't know about - look at the "band" section on that site.

Yeah, theres a whole list of song names that we've never heard - unless of course they are early names for songs they later recorded.

Circular is still one of their best songs to this day... should be redone for the new album
